This past Friday the Oklahoma Jr. High Patriots defeated the Windsor Hills Bulldogs 60-44!
The game started off tough as the Patriots drove the ball inside the five yard line only to be stopped by the Bulldogs defense. The Bulldogs’ possession ended abruptly with a fumble recovered by #94 Payton Capers of the Patriots, setting up a TD by #44 Cameron Branch. The 2 point conversion made the score 8-0 in favor of the Patriots. On the Patriots ensuing possession, QB Bryce Daniels threw a touchdown to Cameron Branch, and the 2 point conversion good, making the score 16-0 Patriots. However, when the Bulldogs took over, #21 made a huge play that set up the Bulldogs first touchdown, also by #21, cutting the deficit to 10.
The Patriots responded with another Cameron Branch touchdown, and #32 Stephen Dellinger converted the 2 points pushing the lead to 18. On the next series the Bulldogs rumbled into the endzone for another TD making the score 24-12. The Pats would answer again when QB Bryce Daniels then tossed in another touchdown to #82 Matthew Lamberth, and the score was now 32-12, headed into the half.
The crowd roared as #44 Cameron Branch started off the second half with his 4th touchdown of the night, and bumped the Patriots to a 28 point lead. The Patriots scored again as #32 Stephen Dellinger ran hard down the pathway to the endzone, giving the Patriots a comfortable lead of 40-12. The Bulldogs then found life as #21 busted his way into the endzone two consecutive times to cut the lead to 18. Zakry Crowell then scored for the Patriots making the score 54-28.
The Bulldogs answered with another TD to make the score 54-36. On the ensuing kickoff, #32 Stephen Dellinger ran the ball all the way down the field for the touchdown, and the score was 60-36. The Bulldogs scored the last touchdown of the game, leaving us with our final score of 60-44, and another Patriot win!
My player of the game award goes to Cameron Branch. He scored 4 TDs, 3 rushing and 1 recieving, and was unstopable out there! Come and join us next week at 5:30 P.M. as the Patriots take on Regent Preperatory School to try to extend their record to 5-0. See you there!

This past Friday, the Oklahoma Jr. High Patriots defeated the Community Christian School Royals 24-14.
This game started out very exciting as #44 Cameron Branch ripped off a long distance run to reach the end zone for the Patriots first score. He also converted the 2 points putting the Patriots up 8-0. That touchdown however, was answered later as #32 of the Royals plowed into the end zone. The 2 points were good making the score 8-8. Another big play came by Cameron Branch who set up his second TD along with the 2 points conversion to make the score 16-8 in favor of the Patriots.
On the ensuing Royals possession, the Patriots played trememdous defense getting the ball back for the offense in great field position. Unfortunately, the Patriots fumbled the football and was recovered by the Royals. The tenacious Patriots defense wouldn’t back down and went on to force a saftey pushing their lead by 10 points. Following the safety, the Patriots threw an interception, ending the first half.
In the beginning of the second half, #44 Cameron Branch intercepted the ball, but the Patriots failed to score off the interception. The Royals next possession earned a huge play getting the ball inside the Patriots territory for a chance to tie the game, but an unexpected interception by #21 Bryce Daniels ended the Royals drive. On the ensuing Patriot drive, #56 Tyler Pound made a huge reception but unfortunately was injured on the play while being brought down by a Royals player. Pound’s status for next game is unknown.
#16 Caleb Webb then came off the bench and caught a touchdown pass from QB #21 Bryce Daniels bringing the score to a 24-8 Patriot lead. The Royals did score once more on a touchdown catch made by #21 giving the final score 24-14 and another Patriot victory for a 3-0 record!
My player of the game goes to #21 Bryce Daniels. He made a key interception to stop a Royals TD and threw a touchdown putting the game out of reach for the Royals. Congrats to the Patriots on another win! Come and support your Patriots next week as they take on Windsor Hills to try and push their record to 4-0.

This past Friday, the Jr. High Oklahoma Patriots gutted out a great win against their nemesis, the Southwest Covenant Patriots.
The game started out with tremendous defense by both teams. Only once in the first quarter did someone break into the endzone, #2 for Southwest Covenant, but the touchdown was overturned because of a penalty. In the second quarter, QB #21 Bryce Daniels threw a pass that was tipped by the defense, but was amazingly caught by #86 Ben Nelson of your Patriots. This set up the first touchdown of the game from #44 Cameron Branch with the 2 point conversion also made by Branch , helping the Patriots jump out to an 8-0 lead. Southwest player #2 recieved the ensuing kickoff and ran the ball back 70 yards for their first TD of the game, but they were unable to convert the 2 points. Patriots held on to a small lead of 8-6, heading into the half.
Since the first half showcased the defense, it only makes sense that the second half would be an offensive show!
At the beginning of the third quarter, Southwest’s #44 caught a TD pass, and although they missed the 2 points, possessed their first lead of the game at 12-8. On the kickoff, Patriots #10 Johnson Miller burst downfield, running the ball back to about midfield. A series of Cameron Branch runs got the ball to the 3 for the Patriots, where on 2nd down, none other than Branch himself rumbled through the D for the score…OK Patriots up 14-12. On the next series, right after the Patriots defense gave Southwest a free first down which came off a penalty, #44 Cameron Branch intercepted the ball and ran it all the way back inside the five yard line. This set up the Patriots third touchdown, also by Branch, putting them up 22-12.
After this it was pretty much the Patriots game. Bryce Daniels made a huge run to set up another touchdown and #32 Stephen Dellinger ran one in for another Patriot TD which left us with our final score of 38-12, another huge win for your Oklahoma Patriots!
My Player of the game goes to the entire Patriots defense. They held Southwest to just 12 points, had a huge interception, and were just absolutely terriffic! Congrats to the Patriots on getting another win and defeating their rival. Come support your undeafeated Patriots next Friday as they take on CCS!

The Patriots kicked off their 2009 season this past Friday night against the Destiny Wildcats.
On the first play of the game the Patriots received the kickoff and ran it back to the 50 yard line, but then lost the ball a few plays later with a fumble. The Wildcats returned the favor shortly after and then #94 Payton Capers ran the ball into the endzone for the opening TD with the Patriots converting the 2 points to put them on top 8-0. #32 Stephen Dellinger was the next Patriot to score, putting them up 14-0. The Patriots not only played great offense, they also played stellar defense, sacking the QB and causing many Wildcat punts and turnovers.
The next Patriot TD came when #44 Cameron Branch took the handoff and burst through the defense into the endzone for the first of his two touchdowns. Stephen Dellinger converted the 2-point conversion putting the Pats up 22-0. QB Bryce Daniels greatly contributed to the game with 120 yards passing on the night and a 40-yard punt return.
The Wildcats finally did score with 2:20 left in the game on a touchdown run from #1, but they didn’t convert the 2 point attempt. Cameron Branch busted off another huge run towards the endzone before time expired but didn’t score, leaving us with the Patriot win and final score of 28-6!
My player of the game goes to #44 Cameron Branch, who scored twice and had some great runs for huge yardage throughout the game. Congratulations to the Junior High Patriots who start off their season with a record of 1-0.
Next week the Oklahoma Patriots will take on Southwest Covenant School as they try to push their record to 2-0. Come out and support your Patriots next Friday at 5:30 p.m.!
