Patriots vs. Word of Life

Kickoff: 1pm

Address: 1640 W. 40th Street N., Wichita, KS, 67204

Directions:  Take I-35 North into Kansas.  From the Kansas border, continue on I-35N for another 41.8 miles (bring $ for toll road).

Merge onto I-135 by taking Exit 42 toward I-235/Wichita/US-82/Salina.

Go North on I-135 for 10.7 miles to the Hydraulic/29th street exit (Exit 10 B).

Turn Left onto N. Hydraulic Street and go North for 0.8 miles to 37th St. E.

Turn Left (East) onto 37th Street E and go East for 2 miles to N. Seneca Street.

Turn Right (North) onto N. Seneca Street and go North for 0.4 Miles.

Take the 1st left (East) onto W. 40th Street N which is really Seneca Drive that makes you go back south and then West and becomes W. 40th Street N.

LOCATION: At Life Christian Academy in MWC.  (6801 South Anderson Road Oklahoma City, OK 73150)

DIRECTIONS: From the downtown OKC area, head east on I-40 about 12 miles.  Take exit 162 for Anderson Rd.  Turn right (south) on Anderson Rd and go about 1 miles.  Will be on right.

ADMISSION: $5 adults, $3 students

 The Patriots are in two places tonight….

MID-HIGH:

Remember that our Friday, October 7, Mid-High game time was changed!!  Originally scheduled for 5:30, the Mid-High game time was CHANGED to 5:00.

The MH game will be played against Windsor Hills, @ Life Christian Academy in MWC.  (6801 South Anderson Road Oklahoma City, OK 73150 — DIRECTIONS: From the downtown OKC area, head east on I-40 about 12 miles.  Take exit 162 for Anderson Rd.  Turn right (south) on Anderson Rd and go about 1 miles.  Will be on right.)

 

JV/VARSITY:

The JV/Varsity game will be at 7:30 at Gracemont, OK.

(Gracemont High School football field:  If you search for directions, use “Gracemont Rd and US – 281 S in Gracemont, OK.”  Gracemont is about 70 miles from OKC or 1 hr & 10 min.)

DIRECTIONS:  From I-40 and I-44 in OKC:

  • Head west on I-40 for 20 miles.
  • Take the US-81 N/I-40 BUS exit toward El Reno, keeping LEFT at the FORK in the exit and following signs for US-81 S/Chickasha (500 feet.)  At end of the exit ramp, turn LEFT (SOUTH) onto I-40 BUS E/US-81 S and continue to follow US-81 S for 12 miles.
  • Turn RIGHT (WEST) onto OK-152 W/OK-37 W and continue to follow OK-152 W for 19.6 miles.
  • Turn LEFT (SOUTH) onto OK-8 S/US-281 S and continue for 7.3 miles.
  • Turn RIGHT (WEST) on Gracemont Street.  Field will be on the left.  (I think these directions are correct.  They will at least get you to Gracemont, OK, and it is a tiny town.  If all else fails, US-281 turns into 2nd Street and just south of Gracemont St., there are a restaurant and post office where you can stop to ask for directions to the field.)

Fri., Sept. 30: Varsity & Middle School Game

Homeschool Patriots vs. Lighthouse Christian Academy (a Springfield, MO  team)
In Broken Arrow, OK
Middle School kickoff 5:30pm
Varsity kickoff 7:30pm
The football field is located in Neinhuis Park in Broken Arrow.  That address is 3201 North 9th Street, Broken Arrow, OK 74012-2856.  (It is about half a mile north of the high school, FYI.)   If you Google (or use GPS) that address, or the name of the park, it will get you very close, but note that the name of the final road that you will turn east onto (from Lynn Lane Rd.) is Juneau, by the community center, to get into the park.  For some reason, Google does not have you turn there, but rather takes you into a housing area.
  • From I-35 in OKC, take I-44 (Turner Turnpike) east towards Tulsa (go 95 miles.  Be sure to stay on I-44 [DO NOT TAKE I-244 as you near Tulsa.)
  • Take exit 231 to merge onto OK-51 E/US-64 E toward US-169/Muskogee/Broken Arrow (2.4 miles.)  Continue onto OK-51 E (another 5.0 miles.)
  • Take the exit towards Lynn Lane Road.  Turn left (north) onto S. Lynn Lane Rd (also called S. 177th E. Ave. and N. 9th St.)  (about 1.5 miles)
  • Past the fire station and just before the community center, turn right on Juneau Road into Neinhuis Park.  Pass the pool and continue to drive to the back of the park.  Football fields are at the back of the park.  You can’t miss them.
This drive will be almost two hours.  Don’t forget a Pike Pass or lots of change for the toll roads!!!

Football field is NOT at the school.  Field address: 1400 N. Main St. W. in Owasso

Directions:

  • From I-35, take I-44 east (Turner Turnpike, Poll Road) toward Tulsa, almost 99 miles.
  • Take the US-169 N exit toward Owasso. Turn right on US-169 N and go almost 10 miles.
  • Take the E. 86th St N exit, keeping right at the fork in the exit and following signs for 86th St W.  Merge onto East 86th St N. (You should now be heading west.)
  • Continue west on East 86th St N until you reach Main St (0.6 mile.)  Field will be on the northwest corner of 86th St N. and Main St.

Admission will be charged.

Fri., Sept 2: Patriot’s 1st Varsity Game!!

Come out for the Oklahoma Homeschool Patriot’s first varsity football game of the season. We will be battling Oklahoma Christian Academy this Friday, September 2nd at 7:30pm.

NOTE: Football field is NOT located at the school. Field address is: 2924 Technology Drive in Edmond (from Broadway Extension, go west on 33rd Street past railroad tracks into Midcon Digital Storage warehouse entrance).

Admission price is: $5/adult, $2/senior, & $3/student. Visitor seating is on the east side.
